PRIORITIES
As your candidate for Park Ridge 6th Ward Alderperson, I am dedicated to addressing the issues that directly impact our community's quality of life. I believe addressing these issues through collaborative efforts and continued engagement with residents are essential for the continued growth, safety, and prosperity of Park Ridge. Among those issues and concerns include the following that I have heard directly from Park Ridge residents.
-
There is no question that safety related concerns are at the forefront of everyone’s minds these days.
That’s why ensuring the safety and security of our residents will be a top priority. A safe community is the foundation for everything else we hope to achieve in Park Ridge. I believe that we need to be proactive in how we ensure we are keeping our streets safe for the benefit of all of our residents. By ensuring law enforcement has resources necessary to adequately perform their duties and continuing efforts to foster stronger relationships between our law enforcement and our residents, we will help build trust, improve communication, and create a more collaborative approach to public safety that benefits all residents. -
Park Ridge is an older community and working to maintain aging infrastructure is critical for our City’s future. A strong and well-maintained infrastructure will require significant investments in our physical environment to improve quality of life and prepare for future growth.
I will advocate for programs that support resurfacing of roads, alleys, curbs, and sidewalks and implementing stormwater management systems to reduce flooding that continues to severely impact our community. Additionally, modernizing technology across City government will enhance the quality of life for all residents by modernizing city services, improving efficiency, and reducing costs making Park Ridge a more connected community. -
Not only do we need to support existing local businesses in Park Ridge, but we also need to be thoughtful in how we are attracting new businesses to the community. Making Park Ridge more business-friendly is crucial for our local economy. The creation of specific programs to foster entrepreneurship and designed to attract new businesses, as well as streamlined processes to reduce bureaucratic hurdles will also benefit existing local enterprises and make it easier and more attractive to do business in Park Ridge
By focusing on not only these core issues and implementing specific programs to address these issues, we can ensure that Park Ridge remains a safe, prosperous, and vibrant community for all residents. I am committed to working tirelessly on these priorities, and all others the City faces, and being a strong advocate for our City's needs and values. Together, we can preserve what makes Park Ridge special while preparing for a bright future!
